Craig is Selected as National Merit Semifinalist
Caedmon Craig of Prattville High School has been selected as a National Merit Semifinalist, a prestigious honor awarded to less than 1% of each state's high school graduating seniors. This recognition underscores Craig's exceptional academic performance, positioning him among the highest-scoring entrants nationwide. His achievement not only highlights his academic capabilities but also opens doors for numerous college admissions and scholarship opportunities.
Craig's cross country coach, Caitlin Campbell, praised Craig's accomplishment, noting that it reflects his self-discipline and commitment to balancing academics and athletics. "His work ethic, determination, and commitment to excellence are evident both in the classroom and on the course," Campbell said. Craig shared insights into his approach to managing responsibilities: "I usually rank what I need to get done by importance, then block off time for each commitment." He also noted the unique skills gained through athletics, stating, "I've learned how to work with people. Being part of a team allows for a much different experience than simply working on a group project." With aspirations to pursue a career in biochemistry or other biochem-adjacent field, Craig's journey continues to inspire the Prattville Lions community, and we are so proud of his achievements!
