Volleyball Crushes Competition in Tournament
The Prattville High School volleyball team had a standout performance in the Elmore County Tournament this past Saturday, finishing with an impressive record of 6-0. The Lions secured victories against Stanhope, ACA, Marbury and two against Holtville. They capped off the tournament with a 2-0 win against Elmore County High School in the championship match. This strong showing marks a promising start to the season for Prattville, showcasing their skill and teamwork on the court.
Key players in the tournament included Reagan Green, Katelyn Ferguson, and Azalea Worthy, who contributed significantly to the team's success. Coach Adams expressed her enthusiasm for the season stating, “This has been the best start to a season since I’ve been at Prattville High School. This group plays with so much grit and is determined to get better every day they step on the court. One thing we talk about daily is the quality of our practices and matches. When we focus on the quality of how we compete rather than just the outcome, we’re able to recognize what we did well and identify what we need to improve the next time we step on the court. I’m extremely excited about this season. This group is special, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much we continue to grow!”
The Lady Lions will next take on Saint James and Elmore County in a tri-match on Tuesday, August 25.
